Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for ECO grants, certain criteria must be met. Eligibility varies based on homeownership and property type:

Homeowners

If you own your home, it must have an energy efficiency rating of D, E, F, or G. You must also be receiving qualifying benefits to be eligible.

Private Rented Sector

If you rent your home from a private landlord, the property must have an energy efficiency rating of E, F, or G, and you must be on qualifying benefits. The landlord’s permission is required for any improvements.
